What it does

E-Mail->Echo re-routes incoming netmail for designated users into certain echoes that you specify. My main purpose for creating this utility was to provide access to messages coming from an InterNet mailing list, into a typical echo format. Combining the functionality of E-Mail->Echo with the Echo->E-Mail function of Testify (another of my Tabby-compatible utilities) allows users to see all incoming messages and post replies without actually belonging to the mailing list. Isn't that neat?
How to Set E-Mail->Echo up for Use

E-Mail->Echo expects to find its configuration file, E-Mail->Echo.List, in a folder called "Tabby" which is always located in the same folder as all of your main BBS applications. Looking into the content of E-Mail->Echo.List, you will see that it contains a user's name followed by a tab followed by the name of the echo to send his/her mail to. You can have dozens of fake user names set up if you wanted to, and have all their mail forwarded to sertain echoes - usually this would be because you want your users to be able to participate in certain Internet mailing lists of your choice. Remember *never* to use a real user name unless you want E-Mail->Echo to make that user's mail public!
The echo name can be in any case: Associated_MUG, ASSOCIATED_MUG, AsSoCiAtEd_MuG all work. Same goes for the user name in the first field of the E-Mail->Echo.List file. Place E-Mail->Echo in all of your Tabby events just before the Import routines that bring echoes and e-mail into your BBS. For example, my main Tabby event is:
